Big Beer
This weekend my friend Jason Ogden and I are up at Vail for the Big Beers Festival.
As some of you may already know, I’m a beer fanatic. And those of you that know me better know that I love a great craft beer, especially if it’s ultra-malty, super hoppy, or will just melt my face off with flavor. That’s why we’re up here (well, that and the fantastic skiing that will commence tomorrow morning). Everyone from Allagash to Wynkoop to the Dogfish Head’s, Russian River’s and Ska’s in between are here, bringing only their beers that clock in at 7% ABV or higher.
We’re stoked. I will do everything I can to take a picture of every beer that I consume (or at least make a running list, with my rating of each). Hoping for some solid Barleywines, some big IPA’s and maybe a sour or two.
